The survey revealed that the average New Yorker eats out 5.6 times per week, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

The national average is 5.3 times weekly.

How Much Do New Yorkers Spend When Eating Out?

The average cost for a dinner check in NYC was $48.44 per person, well above the national average of $36.30.

New Yorkers are generally good tippers, leaving an average of 19.2 percent for gratuity.

What Is the Favorite Cuisine of a New Yorker?

Italian leads the way, with 33 percent of New Yorkers choosing Italian food as their very favorite.
