Zach Honig is a former writer with TripSavvy. He is a travel writer and frequent flier who travels up to 200,000 miles per year, often on award tickets in international business and first class.

Zach travels the world both in his capacity as a technology editor and through frequent personal travel with friends and family. He's been collecting miles and points for more than a decade, having first earned elite status with American Airlines during his freshman year of college.

Zach's editorial experience includes time as a staff editor of consumer electronics for PC Magazine, a contributor to Frommer's travel guides, and deputing managing editor for Engadget. Recently, he became editor-at-large for The Points Guy, where he focuses on verticals covering airlines, hotels, and loyalty programs for travelers.


Zach received a Bachelor of Journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia, with an emphasis on newspaper journalism and photojournalism. Following graduation, he began a career as a technology writer and editor, with a stint at the 2008 Beijing Olympics in between.
