Zach Honig is a frequent flier who travels up to 200,000 miles per year, often on award tickets in international business and first class. He spends more than 100 nights in hotels in dozens of countries each year, earning hundreds of thousands of miles and points annually from travel, while boosting his accounts through credit card signup bonuses, strategized spending, shopping portals and other opportunities.
Zach travels the world both in his capacity as a technology editor and through frequent personal travel with friends and family. He's been collecting miles and points for more than a decade, having first earned elite status with American Airlines during his freshman year of college.
Zach studied journalism at the University of Missouri, with an emphasis on newspaper journalism and photojournalism. Following graduation, he began a career as a technology writer and editor, with a stint at the 2008 Beijing Olympics in between.
I'm arguably a miles and points addict, and while I don't expect you to obsess over free travel to the same degree, I love helping people experience incredible adventures without breaking the bank. While my goal is to build a comprehensive database of key information, much of the content here is created for a general audience.
