The central Massachusetts metropolis of Worcester, which is just an hour west of Boston and a little more than an hour east of Northampton, is one of the largest cities in New England. There's a good-size GLBT community here, which shows up in big numbers for Worcester Gay Pride, held each year during one of the prettiest times to be in this part of the country, early September. The date this year is Saturday, September 10, 2016.
Check out the Worcester Gay Nightlife and Dining Guide for tips on where to eat and socialize.
Worcester Gay Pride comprises a Pride Parade in the morning on Saturday, September 10, at 11 am, which ends at noon at Worcester City Commons (behind City Hall, at 455 Main St.) and is followed by the Worcester Pride on the Common festival, from noon until 5 pm. Then there's a Pride Block Party at 7 pm at MB Lounge that same evening, followed by a Worcester Pride After Party at Electric Haze, which kicks off at 9 pm and lasts until 1 am. Here's a full calendar of Worcester Gay Pride events.
