Year-Round Water Park Fun in Minnesota at Wild Woods

Wild Woods Water Park Minnesota
Holiday Inn Minneapolis

Wild Woods Indoor Water Park at the Elk River Holiday Inn models itself after the old river towns of yesteryear. Compared to mega-resorts such as the Kalahari in Wisconsin Dells, it's a medium-sized park. It is lacking big-name attractions such as an uphill water coaster or a funnel ride.

But with three 4-story water slides -- including the swirling Prospector's Pan -- an old-fashioned log walk, a lazy river, the toddler-friendly Buddy’s Playland, a 20-person spa with a waterfall, and the only Vortex pool in Minnesota, the park still manages to provide a decent amount of splash for your cash.

Thrill-seekers probably wouldn't be too thrilled with the slides and rides. The park is more ideally suited for families with younger children.

The hotel offers standard rooms and various suite options, as well as an on-site restaurant, bar/lounge, fitness center, and meeting and event facilities. The Gold Rush Arcade features two ATV Track simulators, Golden Tee, car racing games, air hockey, and more.
