If you need good food and cocktails check out Libertine Social at Mandalay Bay where the small plates and crafty cocktails are the right way to start a Las Vegas evening. The cocktail list leans toward the swizzle and you realize that rum should be in everything you consume.  If you don't know what a swizzle is that is even more of a reason to head there. When...MORE a restaurant suggests that you share a roast duck you need to seriously consider what they are saying. If its good why would you share? Is it a whole duck? Are they up-selling? The simple answer is that you cannot handle that much great flavor. Oh, you can try but the roast duck at Momofuku at Cosmopolitan Las Vegas is so outrageously good that too much is really too much. Share, because if you don't you could be ruined forever.

Chef Morimoto is going to change the way you feel about Japanese cuisine. Yes, you think you like sushi but the way the culinary treats of this island nation are presented will have you seeking out more than just raw fish in the future. Morimoto at MGM Grand Las Vegas is brilliant. You must have the oysters with foie gras and uni and have them slice you off a tiny bit of the decadent Japanese Beef. Not too much, it's so marbleized that just a bite or two will do.

Look out across the Las Vegas Valley and fantasize about how much you could possibly have won if that amateur had not played a 3 - 7 off suit and cracked your aces. Or enjoy the view and have a conversation with someone special. Vacations are meant for creating lasting memories and these restaurants help you create the moment. Try lunch at the Top of The World at Stratosphere Tower, Dinner at LAGO with a view of the strip and fountains and drinks at SkyFall high atop The Delano Las Vegas.

Even in Las Vegas, a city built on the one night stand, romance is alive and well. Get out there, whisper a few nice things in someone's ear and enjoy a romantic meal in Las Vegas.

If you love the idea of a late night meal you will find yourself adding on a couple of pounds while in Las Vegas. I typically do my best eating after 3am but thats after having far too many olives, a few cherries and if got lucky a couple of pineapple slices. It's what i call my cocktail diet, but you can hit one of these restaurants and get some energy for the after hours club.
