How to prepare for your visit to Wet 'n' Wild

Wet 'n' Wild is a water park and amusement park in northwest Phoenix, Arizona. It opened July 1, 2009, and attracts visitors from around the Phoenix area and beyond.

The park is open during spring break in March, then weekends only in April and May. In late May, just before Memorial Day, Wet 'n' Wild expands its hours and is open daily. The park reduces hours to weekends only in August, closing for the winter in mid-October. 

Where is Wet 'n' Wild in Phoenix?

Wet 'n' Wild is in northwest Phoenix, west of I-17 and north of the 101 loop.

From I-17Take the Pinnacle Peak Road exit, Exit 217. Go west on Pinnacle Peak Road for just over 2 miles. If you are coming from the north, west is a right turn. If you are coming from the south, west is a left turn.  You will see Wet 'n' Wild on the left.

Special Events at Wet 'n' Wild

Wet 'n' Wild occasionally features special events that are included with your paid admission:

  • Bring-A-Friend Day. On select days Season Pass Holders have an opportunity to bring one guest for a reduced price.
  • Dive-in Movies start at approximately 8 p.m. The park closes at 10 p.m. on movie nights.
  • Fireworks on certain holidays.

History of Wet 'n' Wild in Phoenix

Wet 'n' Wild cost $30 million to build and is the largest park of its kind in Arizona. It boasts 30 water slides and attractions.

Wet 'n' Wild can get pretty busy, and when they reach capacity, they will close the water park. They may also be closed at times for private events. Check the park's website or call 623-201-2000 for updates on capacity or changes in operating hours and schedules.

Ten Tips to Enjoy Wet 'n' Wild Phoenix 

Here are ten things you might want to know before you plan your visit to Wet and Wild water park in Phoenix.

Coolers and outside food or beverage are prohibited. You may bring in one bottle of factory-sealed water.

Do you need to rent a tube for the day? In theory, no, but at certain water slides public tubes are scarce and you'll have to wait. 

There are keyless lockers available for rent. 

There is a fee to park at Wet 'n' Wild Phoenix. Gold Pass V.I.P. season passes include parking. 

Re-entry is permitted. You may leave the park and then come back in.

You can eat in the air-conditioned restaurant, or you can get snacks like barbecue, hot dogs, and shaved ice from vendors around the park.

Several of the attractions here have height restrictions. At some rides, kids must wear a life jacket and have adult supervision.
