Each year there are many events and activities surrounding our popular college football post-season game, the Fiesta Bowl. One of the first, in the early fall, is The Wells Fargo Fiesta Bowl Hole-in-One. It is one of the nation's top amateur hole-in-one tournaments.

More than a thousand golfers every year compete in this event. All skill levels are welcome.

Wells Fargo Fiesta Bowl Hole-in-One

Early Bird Qualifier
Friday, October 28 – Sunday, October 30, 2016 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Thursday, November 3 - Saturday, November 12 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Sunday, November 13 from 8 a.m. to noon

The finals take place on Sunday, November 13 at 2 p.m.


Early Bird - Grayhawk Golf Club, 8620 E. Thompson Peak Pkwy, Scottsdale
Prelims and Finals - Arizona Biltmore Golf Club, 2400 E. Missouri Ave., Phoenix

How much:
$1 per ball or $10 for a bag of 11 golf balls. Package pricing is also available, ranging from $100 for eleven bags of balls to $800 for 100 bags of balls.

The top three finishers each day are awarded prizes, such as PING irons, Fiesta Bowl tickets, golf bags, complimentary foursomes and certificates to golf courses and fine restaurants. The top three daily finishers, including anyone who gets a hole-in-one, advance to the finals for a shot at the $1 million hole or two $50,000 holes.

The finals will take place on Sunday, November 13. If no one wins the cash prize, the contestants who hit closest to the pin each win a grand prize.

If you are traveling to the area for prelims or finals, the closest hotel is The Arizona Biltmore, Waldorf Astoria Resort. If that doesn't work for you, try one of these Central Phoenix hotels.

  • You must be 18 or older to participate.
  • There are clubs available for your use or you may bring your own clubs.
  • You can tee it up or not, your choice.
  • No appointment necessary. Come when you can (during the stated hours) as often as you'd like.
  • No charge for spectators.
  • A portion of the proceeds from the tournament will benefit Fiesta Bowl Charities.
