When it's bitterly cold in the winter (and we probably don't have to tell you that it can get crazy cold in the winter), climate-controlled indoor water parks offer simulated tropical respites. Thankfully, there are both outdoor and indoor water parks in Massachusetts, to offer watery relief and fun all year long. The state’s parks are arranged alphabetically. 01 of 09 Breezy Picnic Ground Waterslides in Douglas Breezy Picnic Grounds Waterslides Outdoor water park It's a bit of a stretch to call Breezy a "water park." The small facility offers three water slides—and that's about it as far as water park attractions go. Swimming is also available in its lake, and other amenities include game rooms and a snack bar. 02 of 09 Bousquet in Pittsfield Bousquet Outdoor water park In the winter, Bousquet is a ski mountain. In the summer, the center offers a tiny outdoor "water park" with three water slides and an activity pool. Other activities include a zip line, go-karts, climbing wall, bounce castle, obstacle course, disc golf, and mini-golf 03 of 09 Cape Codder Resort in Hyannis Cape Codder Indoor water park resort The Cape Codder Resort offers a medium-sized water park with a wave pool, a few water slides, a lazy river, a spray deck, a whirlpool, and a kids' play area. There is also a heated outdoor pool. The park is open year-round to registered guests of the hotel and is included with room rates. Day passes for those not staying at the hotel are also available. 04 of 09 Cape Cod Inflatable Park in West Yarmouth Cape Cod Inflatable Park Outdoor water park As its name implies, Cape Cod Inflatable Park does not have permanent attractions. Instead, when the weather turns warm, the facility inflates slides slides and other features. The H2O offers a lazy river, a pool, a lily pad balancing attraction, tipping buckets, and large and small water slides. The park also has "dry" features such as bounce houses, slides, a zipline, a climbing wall, and an arcade. Continue to 5 of 9 below. 05 of 09 CoCo Key Water Resort in Danvers CoCo Key Water Resort Danvers Indoor water park resort CoCo Key is a medium-sized park with body slides, tube slides, a lazy river, a wave pool, kiddie slides, an indoor/outdoor whirlpool spa, an activity pool, and an interactive play structure with tipping bucket. The park is open all year long to registered hotel guests that purchase water resort packages as well as to day guests. 06 of 09 Great Wolf Lodge New England in Fitchburg Great Wolf Lodge Indoor water park resort Great Wolf Lodge is a good-sized park with a funnel ride, a speed slide with a launch capsule, a family raft ride, body slides, tube slides, a wave pool, a lazy river, an activity pool, and an interactive water play center. Admission is open to registered hotel guests only. The Massachusetts resort is part of the Great Wolf Lodge chain of indoor water parks. 07 of 09 Six Flags Hurricane Harbor at Six Flags New England in Agawam Six Flags Outdoor water park This is an enormous water park (the largest in New England) with loads of attractions including a funnel ride, an uphill water coaster, family raft rides, an interactive kids' water play area, two wave pools, speed slides with launch chambers, tube slides, body slides, and a lazy river. The park is included with admission to Six Flags New England. Six Flags Hurricane Harbor is among the best water parks that are located at theme parks. 08 of 09 Water Wizz in Wareham Water Wizz Outdoor water park This is a good-sized outdoor water park near Cape Cod. (Even though its owners often list Water Wizz as being in Cape Cod, it is actually just across the canal.) Attractions include a speed slide, body slides, tube slides, a lazy river, a wave pool, an interactive water play center with a tipping bucket. and other kids activities.
