PetSmart Halloween Costume Parties for Pets
Throughout October. All PetSmart stores across the country host a pet friendly Halloween costume party. The first 50 pets in costume at each store will receive free treats. Bring your camera to snap a photo of your pet in front of a Halloween-themed photo backdrop, then enter PetSmart’s Monster Cute Photo Contest to win a grand prize of $10,000 and other prizes. Bark or Treat Halloween Canine Cruise

Mount Vernon Triangle Fall Festival
October 29, 2016. Dog Costume Parade & Contest (Meet at 5th & I Streets, NW at Milian Park for start of parade to 5th & K) The event is part of the community Fall Fun Day that includes free mini-pumpkin painting, face painting, free apple cider and popcorn, a pumpkin decorating contest and more. The festival is from 10 a.m.-1 p.m.
Fairmont Howl-O-Ween Trick or Treating
2016 Date to Be Announced, 6-7:30 p.m. Fairmont Washington, 2401 M Street, NW, Washington DC. All dogs will be pawsatively treated to peanut butter doggie biscuits created by the Fairmont’s pastry team. For dogs donning costumes, prizes will be given for most creative and most adorable. People will enjoy a cup of “Witches’ Brew” for only $5, and a cash bar will also be available. A collection box will accept monetary donations for the Washington Animal Rescue League, and there will be a few dogs available for adoption.
