Exterior Views and Outdoor Decks on the Viking Star
The exteriors and outdoor decks of the 928-guest Viking Star cruise ship of Viking Cruises are as clean and classically done as the interior decks, cabins, spa and fitness center, and dining venues. These areas are almost identical to those on the Viking Star's sister ship the Viking Sea.
The mid-sized cruise ship has one main pool with a retractable roof, another pool at the very aft of the ship, many outdoor seating areas, a promenade that encircles the ship, an outdoor exercise circuit, miniature golf course, and plenty of places to watch a sunset or sunrise.
Let's take a look at some of the outdoor spaces on the Viking Star.Continue to 2 of 10 below.

Viking Star Pool Deck
Deck 7 on the Viking Star cruise ship is one of the most popular decks on the ship. It is home to the Explorers' Lounge, which occupies the forward portion of the deck; the lovely Wintergarden, which is like a lovely glass covered greenhouse; and the World Cafe, which is the Viking Star's buffet dining venue. However, even with all the indoor areas on this deck, it also is home to the main swimming pool, hot tubs, large video screen, pool grill and bar, Aquavit Terrace, and the Infinity swimming pool.
One of the best features on the pool deck is the retractable roof, which makes the main swimming pool and pool deck accessible in both good weather and bad.Continue to 3 of 10 below.

Viking Star Infinity Pool
The Viking Star cruise ship has two swimming pools on deck 7--the main swimming pool, which is midship, and the Infinity Pool, which is at the far aft of the ship. Those swimming (really floating or bobbing up and down since it's too small to swim in) in the Infinity Pool have terrific views of the wake of the ship. Looking down on the swimmers, it almost looks like they will float right over the edge!Continue to 8 of 10 below.

Viking Star Aquavit Terrace
Those who have sailed on the Viking River Cruises' Longships will recognize the name the Aquavit Terrace. Like its namesake, the one on the Viking Star is outdoors, but this one is aft, whereas the one on the Longships is forward. Both offer great views of the surrounding sea (or river bank). The Aquavit Bar is just inside the door, aft of the World Cafe.Continue to 9 of 10 below.

Outdoor Exercise Equipment on the Viking Star
Deck 9 forward on the Viking Star cruise ship is the Sports Deck. It features an outdoor fitness circuit, shuffleboard, miniature golf course, and walking trail. For those who like bigger circles to walk, there's also a promenade on deck 2 that is 4 laps to the mile.
