There is not a more romantic city in Texas than San Antonio. If you are still trying to figure out where to spend Valentine’s Day with that special someone, pack your bags, find a place to stay, and head to the Alamo City. With its historic attractions, romantic Riverwalk, fine restaurants and a wide variety of entertainment options, San Antonio is the perfect place to take the special person in your life for a romantic getaway.

Situated just south of the beautiful Texas Hill Country, San Antonio is both scenic and historic. Touring some of the many famous missions, such as the Alamo, or historic buildings like the Spanish Governor’s Palace will transport you to a more romantic era in history.

Of course, when it comes to a romantic setting, it is hard to beat the San Antonio Riverwalk. World class restaurants, such as Las Canarias, which is built on three levels overlooking the San Antonio River, are perfect for a Valentine’s Day brunch or dinner. A perfect end to that special day would be a riverboat cruise through the Riverwalk corridor.

When the day is done, turning in at one of the exquisite Riverwalk hotels will complete the romance of the day. La Mansion del Rio, Hotel Contessa, and the Crowne Plaza Riverwalk are just a few of the charming hotels and inns that border the scenic San Antonio River.

So, if you have yet to make plans for Valentine’s Day, all is not lost. A wonderfully romantic vacation awaits you in San Antonio.
