Looking for a summer camp for your child? These camps have general programs that include an array of activities like sports, swimming, field trips, crafts and such. Scout camps are also included here. Some are day camps, and some are resident (sleep-away) camps. They are listed here in alphabetical order. Quotations were obtained from the camp's website.

Arizona Academy Color Guard Arizona Camp
"The Summer Youth Guard (SYG) program of The Arizona Academy of the Performing Arts is designed to be an introductory program for students, ages 5-14, who are new to the color guard activity.

This program teaches the fundamentals of color guard equipment and movement while building confidence, character and self-esteem in each of the students. It is an active, healthy, safe and fun activity to be a part of during the summer months."

Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale
"Children and teenagers are placed in appropriate age groups and participate in a wide range of fun activities....Organized activities include arts & crafts, computers, games room, social recreation, learning opportunities, field trips and more. Special events include carnivals, talent shows, guest speakers, obstacle courses, dances, picnics, ice cream socials, water days and more. Field trips include swimming, museums, bowling, golf, and more."

Summer Day Camp programs are available five days per week from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. and are available for one-week to three-week sessions.

In keeping with the BGCMP philosophy of Fun with a Purpose; Be Great, Do Good; Healthy Choices; and Academic Success, Summer Day Camps include a broad range of programs at more than 10 locations in metro Phoenix.

Boys & Girls Clubs of the East Valley
"...fun, safe and affordable activities at 12 different East Valley locations.

Each Boys & Girls Club of the East Valley has their own unique programs, field trips and activities designed and conducted by our professionally trained staff....The East Valley Summer Program is not only fun but enriching and youth can take part in field trips, swimming, reading programs, summer learning and youth sports clinics. Lunch is provided and Breakfast  and Snacks at some sites."

Cactus Day Camp
Cactus Day Camp is where traditional day camping comes to the desert. We provide a full-day program five days a week for 2, 4, 6, or 8 weeks where safety is our number one priority, friendships are fostered, healthy lifestyles are encouraged and your child's fun is unlimited. The Cactus experience is about trying new things and gaining new skills in an emotionally and physically safe and non-competitive environment while gaining independence as well as a sense of belonging." Camp Geronimo
Boy Scout Camp located north of Payson on the Mogollon Rim. Swimming, shooting, hiking, archery and more. Merit badge classes.

Camp Kierland
 At the Westin Kierland Resort & Spa in Scottsdale. Designed for children ages 4 to 9.  Kids spend their day with the Resort's FUN Team, exploring the lush grounds of the resort and participating in unique crafts and activities.

Each day the camp will feature one of the Resort's special events including the popular Kids in the Kitchen program, where campers don chef coats and make chocolate chip cookies in the professional pastry kitchen. Other special events include pottery painting, LEGOmania and a teddy bear picnic. Pool time. Full or half day camps

 

Camp Raymond
Boy Scout Camp located 30 miles from downtown Flagstaff. "Our program provides a swimming pool, handicraft ramada, full shooting sports, including shotgun shooting, Scoutcraft ramada, a great C.O.P.E. course, and a wonderful commissioner service! Special programs are available for every age Scout from 11 to 18."

Camp Swift Overnight Camp
"...providing economically disadvantaged youth with a residential summer camp experience for free....we provide campers and counselors with nutritious meals, physical activity, and a safe environment in which to learn and play – all while fostering positive mentoring relationships between youth and teens.

Activities are led by high school- and college-aged volunteers acting as role models for making positive choices in health, physical activity and behavior. Our Overnight Camp sessions are typically 5 days and 4 nights, and are held at a beautiful, privately-owned camp facility in Prescott, AZ. Each session, we have approximately 150 3rd-6th grade campers, 55 teen counselors, and an additional 45 college-aged and adult volunteers...."

Camp Theodore Roosevelt
Boy Scout Camp is located east of Payson, along the banks of Christopher Creek. BB gun range and archery range. Camp Theodore Roosevelt/R-C Scout Ranch is the home of the Grand Canyon Council's Cub Scout resident camp.

Coyote Camp
Pointe Hilton Squaw Peak Resort offers both full-day and half-day camps for children ages 4-12. "Each day of Coyote Camp centers upon a specific theme like "Desert Friends" and "Arizona Day." Every activity is geared towards educating the children on Arizona's colorful Western folklore, culture and geography. The kiddos can try their hand at gold panning, arrowhead hunting, tepee building, and so much more." Supervised swim and pool time at the resort’s four-acre River Ranch water park.

Friendly Pines Camp
For kids 6 through 13 held in Arizona's Bradshaw Mountains in Prescott. "...we offer a traditional program of over 30 activities. Campers from around the world choose from a list that includes horseback riding, waterskiing, rock climbing, sports, performing arts, fine arts, pets, hiking, canoe and kayaking, and much more."

Heard Scout Pueblo
The Heard Scout Pueblo is a Boy Scout Camp located at 1901 East Dobbins Road in Phoenix. Cub Scouts & Webelos three-day camp experience includes archery, BB Guns, crafts, swimming, games & sports.

Imagine That Summer Camp
Many camps programs to choose from for 3-year-olds through elementary school age. Both morning and afternoon camps. Located at Paradise Valley United Methodist Church.

Lake Pleasant Aquatics & Nature Camp
Boy Scout Camp, individuals or with troops, located at the Desert Outdoor Center on the east side of Lake Pleasant twenty miles northwest of the Valley. Watersports, fishing, geology.

St. Joseph's Youth Camp
Week-long camp sessions offer kids 8 through 15 lots of activities, such as archery, horseback riding, kayaking, rock climbing, hiking, mountain biking, astronomy and arts and crafts. St. Joseph's Youth Camp, a non-profit organization based in Tempe, operates the nondenominational camp on 20 acres of tall pines in Northern Arizona.

YMCA Camp Sky-Y
Camp Sky-Y offers arts & crafts, ceramics, paintball, rock climbing, photography, mountain biking, day and night hikes, outdoor living skills, dance, swimming, games, sports and morning chapel. 

YMCA Day Camp
Twelve locations in the Greater Phoenix area offer day camp programs and classes for kids and families of all ages.

YMCA Family Camp
Families of all make ups and ages enjoy camping activities with other families. Activities are planned so you can be as busy as you wish. "The activities are planned so you can be as BUSY as you wish or you could sit and enjoy a good book. Typically, there are some activities that the camp staff will lead for your school age children (age 5-8) so mom and dad can do something together. Big Adventures and Sky-Y Explorers activities are for children age 2-8 and happen in the morning. Children age 9 and up are welcome to sign up and enjoy activities with or without their parents."
