Vancouver is home to some of the best, most vibrant nightlife a city can offer. Use this Top 8 list to find the best Vancouver nightclubs, celebrity hot spots, raging dance venues, underground music hangouts, and crowds of beautiful people.
Vancouver's club scene is concentrated around Granville Street, Davie Street and Yaletown in the downtown core but you'll also find more alternative clubs around Main Street where live music, DJs and art events provide a respite from the dance-centric clubs in the center.
Downtown, Granville Street is the epicenter of clubland and it is pedestrian-only in certain sections on weekend nights when the police close the road to manage the amount of people. Head to Yaletown for more upmarket clubs or stick to Davie Street for the best selection of gay clubs and bars.

Uber-fashionable and upscale, this celebrity haunt boasts gourmet cocktails and "O bites" and live music from some of Vancouver's best DJs. This is a very "see and be seen" scene. It's a small space in between the hotel lobby and La Pentola restaurant so you may want to make a reservation or come earlier to get a seat at the bar.

The Biltmore Cabaret
The Biltmore has been a pub and musical venue for more than 50 years but it had a renovation in 2007 to become the Biltmore Cabaret and now the just-off-Main Street mainstay hosts touring musical and arts acts in a club that is popular with the alternative crowd.
Fox Cabaret
Previously a porn theatre, the Fox Cabaret is a hotspot for 90s hip hop nights, 80s proms, and comedy nights and this red-hot nightclub on Main Street. It's always a casual mixed crowd and is ideal for a sweaty late-night dance but be prepared for a line up on a Friday or Saturday night. Alternative club nights include the monthly Nerd Nite, a series of science-based discussions and Sunday Service, a long-form improv show.
