To find out which states are the most outdoorsy, the folks at Retale.com looked at 10 key metrics, including population density, the number of campgrounds, summer camps, state parks and national parks; places to go rock climbing, kayaking, canoeing, and fly-fishing; and schools for sailing, paragliding and hangliding. After crunching the numbers, they say these are the top 10 states for an outdoorsy getaway.
