Top 10 February Events

February is filled with interesting and entertaining things to do in and around Louisville. My personal favorite, one that is fun for every age and has an admission price of free, is The Maple Syrup Festival in Indiana. Check it out! It's fun for the whole family. Also, remember the third Monday of February is Presidents' Day.

French Film Festival at University of Louisville

When: Last weekend of February, first weekend of March
Where: University of Louisville campus
Throughout the month there will be FREE screenings of French films at U of L. Check it out!

Super Bowl

Where: Celebrated in sports bars and living rooms
Although the game will not be played in Kentucky, you can be sure the game will be on televisions throughout Louisville.

Annual Jewish Film Festival

Where: Various locations
Featuring full-length, short, documentary and student films, Louisville Jewish Film Festival educates and entertains. Some screenings also have a guest speaker. Tickets to all films are available through the JCC website above, or in person at 3600 Dutchmans Ln.

Historic Locust Grove

Where: Locust Grove
Guests are encouraged to wear historic dress from any time period and there will be a free dance practice offered on the day of the Ball. Tickets are $25 per person, $20 for Locust Grove members and guests aged 14 and under.

Dinner and Movie at Seviche


Take in a hit film on the eight-foot screen in the private dining room of Seviche. The event includes a fabulous meal and drink pairings. Seating is limited.

National Farm Machinery Show

Where: Kentucky Exposition Center
An indoor farm show of huge dimensions, the National Farm Machinery Show will have products, services, seminars and more. With great Championship Tractor Pulls, it is an entertaining event. Admission to the farm show is free, but parking and tractor pull tickets carry fees.

Taste of 502

Where: The Olmsted, 3701 Frankfort Avenue
You will experience special menu items from the restaurants who participate in 502 Restaurant Week and 502 Lunch Week. In addition, you will sample your favorite wine and spirits from around the region. A portion of the ticket sales will benefit YMCA Safe Place Services in Louisville, Kentucky.

Fat Tuesday! There are festivities all around town, whether you are looking to hit the town or have a King Cake—it's a traditional New Orleans cake that is decorated with yellow, green, and purple sugar—at home. You can order cakes where donuts are sold!

Annual Maple Syrup Festival

When: Last weekend of February, first weekend of March
Where: Leane and Michael's Sugarbush, IN
This annual event is full of old-fashioned family fun. Enjoy tours of the tapped maple trees, wagon rides, candle making, kid's activities and much more. So many things to do! Food is available for purchase.
