Memphis in May is a month long festival that includes the Beale Street Music Festival one weekend and a barbecue competition another. The festival culminates Memorial Day weekend with a Celebrate Memphis day on May 25. There will be live music, a parachute air show, fireworks, local food and drink, and a children's zone. In 2019, the city is trying to use the festival to break the world's record of the longest picnic table. It needs your help to create one that is more than 1,060 feet long. The fun is taking place in Tom Lee Park.

There is always good food and even better spirits. On the Saturday of Memorial Day the venue is hosting a day of jazz. It will feature veteran performers as well as newcomers that will do their best to wow you. It's an event not to be missed.
