The Broadmoor Colorado Springs

The Broadmoor

The Broadmoor

High up in the Rocky Mountains — at about 6,700 feet above sea level — The Broadmoor has been welcoming guests since 1918.

Yet you can't accuse this grande dame of resting on her laurels. She has earned both Mobil Five Star and AAA Five Diamond ratings consistently for decades. In fact, The Broadmoor is the longest-running holder of the Mobil (now Forbes) Travel Guide award.

A jewel of the West, The Broadmoor is spread across 3,000 acres. Many know the hotel for its golf; 54 holes of championship golf can be played, and The Broadmoor has often been the site of professional tournaments. Tennis players of all skill levels lob balls over seven Plexi-Cushion® tennis court. Two are covered so that couples can even play in the chill Rockies winter.

Swimmers can choose from three pools: one outdoor, one indoor and one heated lap pool. And three outdoor hot tubs are good spots to relax at the end of a day.

A total of 14 restaurants, cafes, and lounges means that you never have to eat in the same place twice during your stay at this traditional resort. And the presence of a first-run movie theater along with on-site laundry, dry cleaning, and baby-sitting services truly make it feel like a vacation.

Note: Colorado Springs is located at a high altitude, which can physically affect guests who are visiting from lower altitudes. It's important to drink plenty of water and limit or avoid alcohol to minimize the effects of the altitude, which your body will adjust to over time. It's also smart to wear sunscreen outdoors.
