If you're hoping for an evening of scenic and romantic dining and are willing to pay steep prices for the unparalleled setting offered at the monument's two onsite restaurants, they're definitely worth a try. Meanwhile, there are several decent places to eat out nearby — but many tourists don't quite know how to find them. Read on to decide which place might ideal for your special lunch or evening meal, prior to or after climbing the tower for those breathtaking views. 01 of 07 58 Tour Eiffel Restaurant 58 Tour Eiffel Restaurant View Map Located on the first level of the tower, 58 Tour Eiffel Restaurant boasts menus with traditional French cuisine. Large windows afford views of the grandiose stretch of lawns outside the tower known as the Trocadero and the Champs de Mars; they also allow you to see, in close detail, the elaborate ironwork design of the tower. This is an incredibly popular spot, as you may imagine: try to reserve at least two weeks ahead as it's something of a feat to get a table for dinner. Lunch is more casual, with "picnic-style" options on offer. Making reservations a month or two in advance may be necessary if you plan on dining here during peak tourist season (roughly April-October). Gustave Eiffel, 75007 Paris, France Get directions Phone +33 1 45 55 61 44 Web Visit website Le Jules Vernes is a gastronomic French restaurant located on the tower's second level — and is also a level or two up on the refinery scale. This is a traditional kitchen which was once helmed by the late, world-renowned chef Alain Ducasse. The views of the city are remarkable from Le Jules Vernes, and no wonder — you'll dine at a dizzying 410 feet in the air. The cuisine has in the past been reputed as excellent, though quite pricey. As can be expected, the Jules Vernes is booked solid most days, so try to reserve as early as possible, even months in advance if possible. It will likely be very difficult to snag tables for dinner in 2019, following the re-opening — so trying for lunch might be slightly easier.
