While you can enjoy ice cream at nearly every restaurant and quick-service eatery at Disneyland Resort, these ice cream shops are our favorite places to grab a frosty scoop, waffle cone, sundae, float, shake, or ice cream sandwich.

With its beautiful Art Deco design, this beautiful ice-cream parlor named for Clarabelle Cow is the most stylish place to grab a scoop on Buena Vista Street in Disney California Adventure. Treat yourself to a hand-dipped ice cream bar, cone, cup, or a Monsters Inc.-inspired Eye-Scream Sundae that's just adorable.
Ghirardelli Soda Fountain and Chocolate Shop

Where: Disney California Adventure
The famous San Francisco chocolatier offers a line-up of sweets that boggles the mind, yet we recommend choosing one of the really amazing sundaes, like the Caramel Quake Shake or the Gold Rush peanut butter hot fudge sundae with its melted, gooey topping. Every sundae is an homage to California history, from the massive 8-scoop, 8-topping Earthquake, and Golden Gate banana split to the rocky road Cable Car or, Domingo Ghirardelli’s personal favorite, the banana hot fudge sundae.

This bakery near the entrance of the promenade serves up an array of sweet and savory baked goods and you can even stay for a meal. We think it's worth popping into the quick-service section for the authentic Italian gelato or the sorbets.

Sit under a candy-striped umbrella and watch the world pass by with an ice cream sundae or a milkshake (cherry-flavored was Walt's favorite). Located on Main Street, USA, this eatery is a great lunch spot that serves up classic American comfort food, including some of Walt Disney’s favorite dishes.

When you have a hankering for a milk shake topped with “road gravel” (chocolate sandwich cookies), head to Flo's V8 Cafe, a kitschy Route 66 diner in Cars Land. Other dessert options include seasonal pies and shakes served in souvenir glasses.
Napolini
Where: Downtown Disney
This quick-service Italian deli serves great pizza, paninis and salads, but don't overlook the yummy desserts, all made with Italian flair. We are suckers for the floats, which are made with delectable gelato instead of ice cream.

Looking for some authentic nostalgia? From the decadent chocolate cookie hot fudge sundae to the hand-dipped waffle cone, frosty treats are served with flair at this old-fashioned scoop shop. If you order one of the ice cream floats, it will come in a swell Gibson Girl souvenir glass that you can keep.
