First things first, there are no hotels in Ocean Park — but there are some nearby. If you’re planning to visit the park a couple of times over consecutive days, you should consider staying in Aberdeen. This suburb on the south of Hong Kong Island is right next to Ocean Park, and below you’ll find some hotels within walking distance of the park itself.
Aberdeen is, however, a little bit out of the way. It’s about a thirty-minute ride from here to Central Hong Kong. If you are visiting Ocean Park once or twice, you’ll be better off staying in town and taking the bus out to the park. Below we’ve got the best hotel for that solution as well.
This is the closest hotel to Ocean Park — step out the door, and you’ll be riding roller coasters in 15 minutes. It’s also one of the snappiest looking hotels in the city. Set in a refurbished warehouse in Wong Chuk Hang, the design at Ovolo is a nod to both the area's industrial past and its arty present with exposed brickwork and metal fixtures sitting alongside bright murals and smart artwork. It’s also a hotel aimed at grownups, from flexible check-in and in-room Apple TV to a complimentary mini-bar. Rooms offer beautiful views of Aberdeen Country Park but are on the small side, even by Hong Kong’s standards. Don’t miss a visit to their rooftop bar – voted one of the best in Hong Kong.
Staying at Eaton House means you aren’t sleeping next to the park — Happy Valley is about fifteen minutes away by cab — but the reward is in the location. This is one of our favorite Hong Kong neighborhoods. Happy Valley feels lived in rather than worked in, and from the local bars where teams who train at the nearby stadium share beers to the bakeries and cafes, it’s a great place to see some real Hong Kong life. Eaton House is a self-service apartment. That means kitchenettes, self-service laundry and rooms that are hotel quality, but no daily maid service. You also have access to a gym and outdoor swimming pool.

L'hotel Island South
The only other hotel within walking distance of Ocean Park, L’hotel Island South is also in Wong Chuk Hang, but it a better option for families than Ovolo. The rooms here are a little bigger, while the family rooms can accommodate up to four people through connecting doors, and babysitting can be arranged on request. There is an outdoor pool and gym, while the location on the outskirts of Aberdeen Country Park not only means great views but also the chance for an adventure right on your doorstep. There are a number of hiking trails that will take you through the park, while the Tai Chi terrace is a great place to try out your moves.

Bridal Tea House
If tickets to Ocean Park are burning through your budget, then the Bridal Tea House is a good way to save a little on accommodation. This chain of boutique hotels in Hong Kong offers excellent prices. The rooms are tiny but well-appointed, with flat screen TVs, minibars, and coffee/tea-making facilities. In-room design is Ikea with a dash of Victorian grandeur through the fabrics – it’s not especially convincing, but at these prices, who cares? The location on Ap Lei Chau is a little out of the way; it will be a ten-minute taxi ride down to Ocean Park.
