The Arizona Bowl in Tucson, Arizona was one of three new NCAA bowl games introduced in 2015. Tucson isn't new to bowl games. After all, the Cactus Bowl, which is now played in the Phoenix area, started in Tucson, Arizona in 1989 as the Copper Bowl. The 2015 bowl game was the first one played in Tucson since 1999.
The name sponsor of the game is Nova Home Loans.
When is the Arizona Bowl?
It will be played on December 30, 2016.
Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. Arizona time.

How much are the tickets?
Tickets start at $25 plus fees. There will be a charge for parking, too.
How do I buy tickets?
Generally speaking, the South Alabama fans will be seated on the west side of the stadium and the Air Force fans will be seated on the east side of the stadium. Air Force is the home team and South Alabama are the visitors.
How do I get to Arizona Stadium?
Arizona Stadium is on the Campus of University of Arizona. The address is:
545 N. National Championship Drive, Tucson, AZ 85719
That's about -
8 miles from Tucson International Airport
110 miles from Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport
If you are coming to Arizona for the game, you may find that the flights are cheaper to Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport and then you'll take the two-hour drive to the stadium (leave extra time for crowds, as you would for any sporting event). There is no train or public transportation from Phoenix to Tucson at this time, so you'll have to rent a car.
Who is playing this year?
The Arizona Bowl features two teams from among the Mountain West Conference, Conference USA and the Sun Belt Conference. In 2016 it will be the South Alabama Jaguars (6-6) from Sun Belt vs. Air Force Falcons (9-3) from Mountain West. This will be only the second time that South Alabama has played in a bowl game and they are hoping for their first win.
Is there a pre-game party?
The Downtown Block Party takes place the day before the game, on December 29, 2016 from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. There will be live music rides, games, mascots, cheerleaders, marching bands and, of course, plenty of food and beer to pruchase. Sponsored by Barrio Brewing Company, it will take place on Toole Avenue between Pennington Street and Congress Street (map).
The Nacho Average Tailgate Festival Is before the game, On December 30, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the UA Mall. There will be a Kids Zone, Beer Garden, marching bands, cheerleaders, food trucks. The Gin Blossoms will perform.
