If you dread cooking Thanksgiving dinner, you're definitely not the only one. If you'd enjoy the holiday a lot more if you left the cooking to someone else, check out this list of restaurants that will be serving Thanksgiving dinner in Charlotte in 2017. These restaurants book up well ahead of time, so make your reservations as soon as possible. If your No. 1 choice has no reservations when you call, get on a waiting list and reserve a backup location.


This upscale and contemporary American restaurant is serving a three-course prix-fixe Thanksgiving dinner for $45 for adults and $20 for kids 12 and under. Executive chef Jamie Lynch will be serving traditional favorites and seasonal concoctions.


Stoke, which has taken wood-fire cooking to a whole new level, is serving a prix-fixe Thanksgiving dinner for $60 for adults and $25 for kids 10 and under. Seatings for this four-course meal will be at noon, 2:30, and 5 p.m. 

The Asbury

The Asbury, inside the Dunhill Hotel, nods to its Southern locale and the past but is firmly rooted in the now. Its three-course prix-fixe Thanksgiving menu is sure to reflect that sensibility.  It's offering two seatings, 12:30 to 1:15 p.m. and 3 to 3:45 p.m. It's $55 for adults and $25 for kids 6 to 10.

RiRa Irish Pub

There's no cozier atmosphere than an Irish pub, and RiRa's is one of the best ever outside Dublin.

It's open on Thanksgiving from 10 a.m. to midnight, and the day starts with a brunch buffet from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Live jazz will be the soundtrack for this Thanksgiving brunch, where you can get apple cider mimosas or pumpkin "beermosas" or check out the Build-Your-Own Mule Bar. You can order traditional Thanksgiving specials for dinner starting at 4 p.m., and live music in the form of the Ziggy Pockets will arrive at 8 p.m.

Chillfire Bar & Grill

Get yourself to Chillfire Bar & Grill in Denver, North Carolina, from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. for the Chillfire Thanksgiving brunch, which will offer all the traditional foods that are must-haves for Thanksgiving, plus some Chillfire spins on the traditional. 

Red Rocks Cafe

Check out Red Rocks Cafe for a traditional Thanksgiving spread. It's serving a three-course prix-fixe dinner from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The cost is $35 for adults and $15 for the kids. On the menu is a traditional Thanksgiving turkey platter, plus prime rib, salmon, and pasta, if you like a little variety along with your traditional eats. 


Sullivan's Steakhouse is serving up a classic Thanksgiving feast complete with roasted turkey, sweet potato casserole, and pumpkin pie, among other holiday treats.The three-course prix-fixe dinner is $39, and if you would rather have one of Sullivan's great steaks, you can also order off a limited menu.


Yes, Thanksgiving is a quintessentially American holiday, but if you lean away from the traditional and are looking for a different experience, Lumiere might be just the place for you. It's serving a three-course Thanksgiving dinner with a French accent that will include lobster salad, roasted squash bisque with king crab, and Beef Wellington, along with turkey and all the fixings.

Lumiere will be open from noon to 5 p.m., with the cost $55 for adults and $19.95 for children under 10.
