The Thai communities around Los Angeles celebrate Thai New Year Songkran (Sangkran) Festivals at multiple locations for two weekends. Both events have lots of Thai food and elaborately costumed dancers of all ages and offerings to the Thai Buddhist monks as well as other New Year customs. Unfortunately, the websites often don't get updated until the last minute, if at all. For 2017 the Hollywood Boulevard event has been cancelled.
They're trying to regroup for 2018.
