Each spring, Takoma Park, Maryland celebrates the season with a self-guided walking tour of private homes and gardens with the Takoma Park House & Garden Tour. This year's self-guided walking tour honors the former Prince George's County neighborhood around Spring Park. Enjoy an eclectic mix of beautiful homes and gardens, with architectural styles ranging from early 20th century to distinctly modern.
The tour of 11 houses includes two newly built homes.
Date and Time: Sunday May 7, 2017, 1-5 p.m. Rain or shine.
The tour begins at Spring Park (intersection of Elm Avenue and Poplar Avenue). Advance tickets are $22 and available online or at ACE Hardware, TPSS Co-op or Mark's Kitchen.
Tickets are $25. Pick up brochures on the day of the tour at Spring Park (intersection of Elm and Poplar Avenues).
Takoma Park includes areas of the District of Columbia and Montgomery County in Maryland. The suburban community was founded in 1883 and is situated along the Metropolitan Branch of the historic Baltimore and Ohio Railroad. The town has an extensive historic district and is known for its large Victorian homes.
