Tacoma Events February 2017

Concerts, Shows and More Things to Do

Chinese Reconciliation Park
••• The Chinese Reconciliation Park on the Waterfront is a lovely park anytime of year, but it's also a great place to look for Monkeyshines glass. Kristin Kendle

February is the month of Valentine’s Day, but that’s not the only February event in Tacoma. T-Town has lots going on during this chilly, wet month. Well, usually it’s chilly and wet, at least, but February can bring a little bit of everything. Some years, you might even find the local cherry blossoms in bloom starting this month! Look to Tacoma Comedy Club for evenings filled with laughs, or the Pantages for Tacoma’s best visiting shows, or keep an eye out for Monkeyshines, which tends to be on the weekend closest to the Lunar New Year.

Monkeyshines is an event where guerilla glass artists hide glass orbs and medallions all over the city. If you find one, you can keep it! The only rule is: take only one.

The weekend closest to Valentine’s Day is one to keep an eye on for Valentine's events as well. While not all events are couples-centric, this weekend tends to be the busiest in February.
