SuperShuttle, also known as the "Blue Van" airport shuttle, offers shared-ride ground transportation to and from all three Washington DC area airports. The company has been in business for almost 30 years and is the largest, most recognized airport shuttle business in the country, providing service to 36 airports in the U.S., as well as locations in France and Mexico.
SuperShuttle charges by distance and per person.
It is usually less expensive than a taxi for a party of 1 or 2 people. The automated dispatch system routes you with others traveling to the same geographic area. Generally, this works out well, but keep in mind that it may take you longer to get to your destination than it would if you take a taxi. SuperShuttle is the best option for a party of 5 or more. You can request the entire van, and they will take you directly to your destination.
You can book your reservation in advance and save the time and hassle of paying when you board the vehicle. Reservations are required for transportation to the airport. Prepayment is required when making a reservation. For travel from the airport to your home, office or hotel, reservations are suggested, but not required. You may book same day service by visiting the reservation desk at the airport or by approaching a blue-shirted SuperShuttle representative in the ground transportation area of the airport.
