Year-Round Outdoor Recreation
The mountains, forests, and rivers on the eastern side of the Cascade Mountains provide opportunity for all kinds of outdoor recreation. You can venture out on your own or sign up for such guided activities as fly fishing, ATV tours, river rafting, or horseback riding. Winter activities at Suncadia Resort include an ice skating rink, cross country skiing on groomed golf course trails, and rope-towed snow tubing. Nearby winter sport includes downhill skiing, sleigh rides, sledding, and snowmobiling.
The Glade Spring Spa
Located in a separate building adjacent to the lodge, Suncadia's Glade Spring Spa is among the best spas in the state. The spacious facility includes well-equipped locker rooms, two large relaxation rooms, and a spa shop. Treatments range from such standards as a relaxation massage or a facial to services that incorporate wine or appeal to gentlemen. It's the spa's outdoor mineral baths - set among natural-style landscaping that includes running water, warm fires, and deck space - that make Glade Spring Spa exceptional.
These "mountain glades" feature soaking pools of various temperatures, lounge seating areas, and outdoor saunas. The coed glade offers three different pools, while the private women's glade has its own mineral bath and sauna. With multi-treatment and multi-day packages, the Glade Spring Spa can provide a full spa getaway experience.
