Location and Hours

Steinberg Skating Rink is located at 400 Jefferson Drive in Forest Park. That's in the northeast corner of the park, near the intersection of Forest Park Parkway and Kingshighway. The rink is open for public skating every day from mid-November to the end of February. Regular hours are Sunday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to midnight. Steinberg Rink is also open with extended holiday hours on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year's Day.

Admission and Skate Rental

The cost to skate is $7 a person. Skate rental is an additional $5. Admission is valid all day. There are no sessions, so you can arrive whenever you like and skate for as long as you like. But be sure to bring cash, because Steinberg Rink does not accept credit or debit cards. There is an ATM on site, but you'll be charged a nice fee to use it. If you don't plan on skating, admission is free. There is also free parking available near the rink.

Skating Lessons

For those who need a little help on the ice, Steinberg offers skating lessons for both children and adults. Lessons are held on Tuesday evenings and cost $5 per class. Children's lessons are at 6:30 p.m. Adult classes are at 7 p.m. For more information on registering for skating lessons, call (314) 361-0613.

Snowflake Cafe

When you want to warm up or get a bite to eat, the Snowflake Cafe is a nice place to sit and relax. The cafe has a variety of snacks and casual meals. Popular options include pizza, burgers, and chicken. There are also special meals for kids and wine and beer for adults. The cafe is open during regular skating hours.

Steinberg Rink In the Summer

Steinberg Rink is a popular winter destination, but it also offers some fun in the summer. The rink hosts sand volleyball leagues beginning in May. There are two regulation, lighted sand volleyball courts. The volleyball courts are also available for private parties and special events. For more information about the sand volleyball leagues, see the Steinberg Rink website.
