Looking for the perfect place to stay while visiting Disney World? While the Orlando area offers myriad places to stay, there are many advantages to staying at a Disney-run resort that goes beyond the famously fun Disney themes.
For starters, it’s simply more convenient to be based near the parks and able to zip back to your hotel for a midday rest and some downtime at the pool. Depending on which theme park you plan to spend the majority of your time, you can choose a property nearby.
On your arrival and departure days, you’ll receive complimentary transportation to and from Orlando International Airport (MCO) on Disney’s Magical Express. And during your stay, you can easily get around using Disney’s free transportation system of monorail, buses, ferries and water taxis.
All Disney World Resorts offer complimentary, resort-wide wi-fi. There is also free wi-fi in all the theme parks.
Additionally, all Disney World Resort properties offer an array of daily fun family activities such as night-time "Movies Under the Stars." Some properties feature kids' clubs and character meals.
A Wide Variety of Hotel Options.
With over two dozen Disney-run resorts, there are plenty of options for every family style and wallet. The options range from campsites (starting from $54 per night) to value-minded hotels (starting from $98 per night) to deluxe villas with separate sleeping and living areas and kitchens (starting from $323 per night).
Flexible FastPass+ Planning and Extended Park Hours
As a Disney World Resort guest, you’ll receive complimentary MagicBand wristbands and be able to plan your itineraries using the My Disney Experience app, including the ability to reserve times for rides and attractions 60 days in advance of your arrival using FastPass+, which is a full 30 days in advance of non-guests.
Once you arrive at Disney World, you can take advantage of Extra Magic Hours to enjoy extra time in the parks before and after the official opening and closing times.
Purchase Delivery and the Dining Plan Option
Planning on souvenir shopping? Any gift-shop purchases you make in the theme parks can be sent back to your hotel for free, so you never have to carry extra bags around with you.
Guests at Disney World Resorts can purchase the dining plan add-on, which includes a set number of meals at a set price.
In addition, all the resorts have lifeguarded pools and a variety of dining options. Some offer fine dining restaurants and/or restaurants with character meals.
