If you don't want to travel into Cleveland this St. Patrick's Day, you can still get your Irish fix in Akron with the following ideas.
Akron's annual St. Patrick's Day “Irish Celebration” Parade, hosted by the Ancient Order of Hibernians, begins at 12:00 p.m. on March 10, 2018 at Cedar and Main St., ending at Bowery and Main St. The parade hosts floats, ethnic groups, animals, Irish dancers, clowns, honor guard, drill teams, and more.
The Barley House is always a special place to be on St. Patrick's Day. In 2018, the party is on Saturday, March 10. The party starts at 7:00 a.m. with Kegs and Eggs. Callahan & O'Conner will perform from 1:00 p.m. to 5 p.m. There will be no cover, a view of the parade, and lots of green beer.

Get Shamrockin' with the Celtic Club for St. Pet's Day
On March 9, 2018 from 2:15 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., the Celtic Club of Akron will host the 14th Annual St. Pet's Day event at Richardson Elementary School in Cuyahoga Falls to benefit the Stark County Humane Society. Admission is free with a donation of dry dog or cat food.
Previous years' entertainment has included Akron District Pipes & Drums, Lisa Spicer performer of Irish songs, the Irish band Angelicus with Meggan Conti, O'Hare Irish Dancers, and St. Michael School Choir. Celtic Rush is confirmed for 2018. In the past, there have been rescue greyhounds in attendance and Irish vendors with Irish clothing, jewelry, artwork, etc. Food has been available for purchase.
