St. Louis' Best Annual Events in April, May and June

Spring and early summer are a good time to get outside in the St. Louis area. If you're visiting in April, May or June, you'll find plenty of ways to take advantage of the warmer weather. Here are some the top annual event in the Gateway City in April, May and June.

April

Go! St. Louis Marathon and Family Fitness Weekend - Whether you are a runner, walker or a spectator, you can take part in this annual event in early April.

There are kids activities and fun runs for casual athletes, plus the half and full marathons for serious runners. Sign up for an event, or join the crowd and cheer on other runners.

Queeny Park Art Fair - One of the best art fairs in St. Louis happens in early April. More than 130 artists from 20 states show off and sell their works at this juried fair at Queeny Park.

Earth Day Festival - Celebrate the Earth in beautiful Forest Park at the annual Earth Day Festival in late April. The event includes live music, food, art and children's activities. There are also educational displays about recycling, renewable energy and other ways to go green in St. Louis.

Eckert's Strawberry Festival - Enjoy the fruits of the season at the the Strawberry Festival at Eckert's Orchards in Belleville. The event is held over several weekends in May. You can pick your own strawberries to take home, or indulge in some of the dozens of homemade goodies on hand.

The festival also features live entertainment and kids activities, like inflatables, a petting zoo and pony rides.

St. Louis Renaissance Faire - During the annual Renaissance Faire, Rotary Park in Wentzville is transformed into a 16th century French village complete with costumes, period artwork and jousting knights.

The festival begins in mid-May and runs each weekend through mid-June.

St. Louis County Greek Fest - Ethnic Greek food is just one of the highlights at the St. Louis County Greek Fest. There's also music, dancing, art and shopping. The four-day celebration is held each year over Memorial Day weekend at Assumption Greek Orthodox Church in Town & Country.

Shakespeare Festival St. Louis - Each summer, you can see free live theater in Forest Park. Shakespeare Festival St. Louis selects and organizes performances of a popular Shakespeare play during the month of June. No tickets are needed, just bring a blanket and a bottle of wine and enjoy the show.

Brewers Heritage Festival - Another good reason to visit Forest Park in June is the Brewers Heritage Festival. Top local breweries join forces to host this two-day event celebrating the local beer scene. Sample any of the more than 100 beer styles from dozens of local breweries.

Circus Flora - Circus Flora raises its big top each June in midtown St. Louis. This traditional one-ring circus has been performing its high-flying shows to crowds in St. Louis and around the world for decades.
