When you're ready for some fun in the sun, but want more than the neighborhood pool, head over to Splash City Waterpark in Collinsville, Illinois. The popular attraction has a variety of pools, slides and water features to keep everyone in the family entertained for hours.

Hours and Location
Splash City opens each year over Memorial Day weekend and closes on Labor Day. In 2017, Splash City is open daily from May 27 through August 13, and weekends only from August 19 through September 4. The water park is open each day from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., with extended hours until 9 p.m. on Tuesdays.
Splash City is located about 20 minutes from downtown St. Louis in the Eastport Plaza at 10 Gateway Drive in Collinsville, Illinois. That's near the intersection of I-55/70 and I-255.
General admission to Splash City is $15 for adults, $12 for children (ages 3-16), and $10 seniors. Kids two and younger get in free. Residents who live the the Collinsville Recreation District and military members with a current ID get a $4 discount on admission. And, everyone gets $5 off admission each day after 4 p.m.
You can be as active or as lazy as you like during your visit to Splash City.
To get your blood pumping, try scaling the new AquaClimb wall or exploring the Monsoon Mountain water tower. Monsoon Mountain has five slides, plus buckets, hoses, sprayers and more for plenty of family-friendly fun. Older kids and adults can also try surfing or body boarding in the FlowRider wave pool.
FlowRider pumps 36,000 gallons of water every minute creating continuous waves for visitors who like a little adventure.
For the Kids
Smaller kids will enjoy spending time in an area called Sand Castle Cove. It's the ideal spot for toddlers and young children to play without having to worry about older children getting in the way. Younger kids can also enjoy the zero entry area at the Leisure Pool.
There are several special events for families. Splash City offers Parent Tot Time on Fridays from 9 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. Parents and children (ages seven and younger) can get into the park for half price during that time. And, Tuesday nights are Family Night with discounts on admission and food.
Things to Know
Here's some helpful information before making the trip to Splash City. Keep in mind, no outside food or drinks are allowed into the water park. Also, everyone must wear a swimsuit. No cutoffs or street clothes are permitted. For more on the rules and regulations, see the Splash City website.
