SouthPark Mall is the largest mall in Charlotte, North Carolina, and serves the entire Charlotte region. This upscale mall is located in Charlotte's SouthPark neighborhood, at Sharon and Fairview roads, about five miles from Uptown and features over 150 stores in an enclosed environment.

SouthPark Mall is also a dining destination with sit-down restaurants and fast casual places that make for convenient stops when you're shopping, and just outside the mall, you'll find the Village at SouthPark, which offers visitors, even more, shopping and dining options.

Owned by Simon Property Group, which operates 108 malls across the country, the SouthPark Mall hosts a variety of special events including an XBox Launch Party at Microsoft, Boo Bash Fall Festival, pet adoptions, "Star Wars" Storytime, and movies and music at Symphony Park on the SouthPark Mall grounds.

Website and Insider Program Exclusives

On the SouthPark Mall's website, you'll find lots more than just a list of stores, restaurants, and hours, the "#FoundAtSimon" page gives you the inside skinny on the newest fashion, beauty, food, cooking, and decor trends as well as entries about trendy travel destinations complete with Instagram-worthy photos.

This marketing campaign and information database are organized in a fun and accessible style so that even if you aren't going shopping, you'll have some fun and get some great ideas to file away for later, and the "Deals" page is loaded with information about specials and deals from the stores at SouthPark.

If you want to stay in-the-know about sales and deals from retailers at SouthPark Mall and coming events, you can also become a "Mall Insider" and you'll get notifications through texts and emails about everything that's going on. The big bonus: You earn 10 bucks for every $50 you spend at the mall.

Additionally, the mall website offers a complete and up-to-date list of all restaurants, shops, and services available at SouthPark Mall. You can also get information about opening and closing times, holiday hours, and contact details by visiting the website.

Simon Youth Foundation

Simon Property Group, the owner of SouthPark Mall, pays it forward to its non-profit Simon Youth Foundation, whose mission is to help teenagers at risk graduate from high school and find a better life.

Kids who are at risk of dropping out of high school get another chance at Simon Youth Academies, which are in malls owned by Simon. These academies cater to kids who have trouble learning in a traditional environment or are dealing with serious personal or family problems with small classes and flexible schedules. Simon reports that 90 percent of the students they admit to its academies graduate.

Its scholarship program also helps first-generation college-bound kids get the education they need but otherwise could not afford. As of 2017, the Indianapolis-based Simon Youth Foundation has donated $17 million in college scholarship money to 4,500 students across the United States.
