Turkey Trots and Thanksgiving Races in SLC

Communities and nonprofits around northern Utah sponsor Turkey Trot and Thanksgiving Day races for charity or just for fun. A great Thanksgiving run with a few friends is a lovely way to get your blood moving before Thanksgiving lunch or dinner.

    Early Registration Deadline: November 8 at 6 pm

    The Annual Turkey Triathlon put on by Weber State Campus Recreation includes a 5k run, 10k bike, 300yd swim, and is a reverse sprint distance to introduce participants to Triathlons. The race circles the Weber State Campus, which offers gorgeous views of the Wasatch Front as you run and bike. 

    The race will take place on November 4th, at 9 am. Start line and transition area for the race will be at Swenson Gym, Parking Lot A7 on Weber State Campus.

    The Annual Turkey Leg 5K and Kids 1K in Farmington, Utah will be held on Thanksgiving Day morning. Come burn some calories before the big feast.

    When: Thanksgiving Day - November 23, 2017
    Where: Heritage Park - 1591 North 1075 West (just west of Highway 89)  Farmington, UT
    Time: 5K - 9:00 a.m.; 1K - 10:00 a.m.

    Since 1982, Runner's Corner & the Orem Fitness Center have sponsored the most prize-laden Thanksgiving Day Run/Walk in Utah. For a modest entry fee, participants receive a T-shirt, great post-race food, an excellent opportunity to win turkeys and pies, and guilt-free feasting the rest of the day! The event is on Thursday, Nov 23, 2017, at ​8:00 am.

    Enjoying Thanksgiving Day doesn’t mean gaining a few extra pounds. So come burn a few calories and Run with an Attitude of Gratitude at the annual Utah Human Race on Thanksgiving morning!  The Utah Human Race is one of the largest 5K/10K events in the state—with an average of 5,500 participants annually! This family-fun race is traditionally held every year on Thanksgiving morning in conjunction with Utah Food Bank’s statewide Holiday Food & Fund Drive. Every sponsorship dollar and registration fee raised from the Utah Human Race goes to provide food and services to Utah communities statewide.
