The 540-guest Silversea Silver Spirit accommodations are all spacious suites, with either dark curtains or walls separating the sleeping and sitting areas. The lowest priced suites are the 312-square foot Vista Suites, which are the same size and layout as the Veranda Suite seen in these photos. The only difference is that the Veranda Suites have a 65-square-foot balcony. On many cruise ships, a 312-square foot cabin would be one of the larger accommodations; on the Silver Spirit, it's the smallest. The other accommodations include the Silver Suites, Grand Suite, and Owner's Suite.

All the Silver Spirit suites have walk-in closets, separate bath and shower, vanity table, desk, and flat-screen televisions. The satellite-reception TVs are behind the mirrors, which frees up a lot of desk space.

These photos showed the very quiet, comfortable Veranda Suite I stayed in on our 14-day South and Central America cruise.

Heavy curtains over the sliding door to the veranda and those dividing the sitting and sleeping areas make this suite as dark as an inside cabin.

I love having a separate tub and shower. It's very difficult climbing into a tub/shower combination for many older (and not so old) cruise travelers.
