TV Shows in Los Angeles

Many of the most popular sitcoms, reality shows and game shows on TV today are taped in Los Angeles in front of a live studio audience. It takes a good chunk of time, but it's a great way to see celebrities up close, and it's free. Read about how to get tickets and what to expect when attending a TV show taping.

Big Name Concerts in Los Angeles

There are dozens of concert venues in Los Angeles and Orange Counties that host big-name performers from pop to country to hip-hop to punk. During the summer months, the Greek Theatre, the Hollywood Bowl, Irvine Meadows Verizon Amphitheatre and Pacific Amphitheatre host major outdoor concerts. The ​Microsoft Theatre and the Wiltern, as well as various sports arenas, are popular indoor venues.​

Small Concerts in Los Angeles

Los Angeles is a springboard for many up and coming bands, and there are dozens of small and medium-sized venues where you can hear live music shows of every genre of music in LA. There are a number of live music venues located along the ​Sunset Strip.

Classical Music Shows in LA

The major classical music and dance performances including Philharmonic concerts, opera and ballet take place at the Disney Concert Hall and Dorothy Chandler Pavilion at the Los Angeles Music Center, the Hollywood Bowl and the Segerstrom Center for the Arts in Orange County with occasional events at the Long Beach Performing Arts Center, La Mirada Performing Arts Center and a few other community arts centers.

Live Theatre in Los Angeles

There are a dozen or so major theatres in Los Angeles hosting touring Broadway shows and world premiere productions including the Pantages Theatre and the Ahmanson Theatre, and many dozens of medium to small theatres performing everything from the classics to experimental theatre.

Comedy Shows

Los Angeles is comedy central and there are endless opportunities to see live comedy from stand up to improv. There are big-name comedy clubs with major name headliners and comedy nights at coffee houses and bars.

Magic

There aren't very many permanent shows in Los Angeles. We don't have a resident Blue Man Group or Las Vegas-style concert divas. However, we do have a variety of long-running Magic Shows.​

There are a number of clubs in the Los Angeles area dedicated exclusively to jazz and other live music venues that have jazz on particular nights of the week.
