Is Fashion Valley San Diego's Best Mall?

Fashion Valley is often considered the crown jewel of San Diego malls. Fashion Valley has arguably the best of the upscale stores plus has a wide variety of department stores and places to eat. 

What makes Fashion Valley Mall so special?

Good restaurants and an AMC multiplex movie theater make this a place to go beyond shopping. Burberry, Louis Vuitton, Lululemon, Jimmy Choo, Gucci, J.Crew, Apple, H&M and Lush stores reflect the mall's cool factor. It's hard to beat the luxury factor, too -- Fashion Valley even has an Hermes store. Nordstrom, JC Penney, Macy's, Nieman Marcus and San Diego's first Bloomingdale's anchor this well appointed 2-level, 200 store, outdoor mall.

What's the mall's ambiance?

Stylish, classy and upscale, especially after its most recent facelift. Fashion Valley has been around seemingly forever (circa 1970), but you'd never know because it's been updated nicely over the years. The architecture is extremely tasteful, featuring trellises and awnings.

The fashion-conscious, both young and old. Fashion Valley is where serious shoppers go for quality merchandise.

What's the food factor at Fashion Valley?

Fashion Valley has a number of popular sit-down restaurants, including the extremely popular Cheesecake Factory, PF Chang's, Stacked, Blue Smoke Sushi Lounge, True Food Kitchen, and California Pizza Kitchen. The updated food court plaza includes a wide range of choices, from burgers to Asian to Italian to Mexican and is a great spot for people watching.

How is the parking situation at Fashion Valley Mall?

The parking is plentiful at Fashion Valley. Multi-level garages surround the mall on all sides. If you're familiar with the area, the Friar's Road (north) side can get congested so you're better off parking in the garages on the south side. An alternate entrance to the mall is off of Interstate 8 and Hotel Circle, on you way to Fashion Valley Road. There's also a large public transit terminal adjacent to Fashion Valley Mall, including bus lines and a San Diego Trolley stop.
