Sheridan Alexander is a freelance writer, who thoroughly enjoys traveling to interesting places throughout the United States and the world. She has always held a special place in her heart for the Southeastern United States, where she was born and enjoyed most of her childhood summer vacations while visiting her grandparents. After living in New England, New York City and overseas for many years, Sheridan returned to her roots and now divides her time, when not off exploring a new place, between Northern Virginia and North Carolina.
After devoting many years to the trade book publishing business in New York City, where she was a vice president of a major company, Sheridan turned to freelance writing and editing for design firms, nonprofit associations and About.com. She has been an occasional guest teacher at Parsons School of Design and has served as a working board member for several arts and educational organizations. For both business and pleasure, Sheridan has traveled extensively throughout the United States, Europe and Asia.
As an avid traveler, seasoned visitor and current resident of the diverse and exquisite southeastern region of the United States, I look forward to drawing from my combined experiences to help you plan a visit that is fun, interesting, relaxing and memorable.
