Sheridan was born in the Southeast and has always held a special place for the region, having enjoyed most summers of her childhood with her grandparents there. After serving as vice president of a major publishing company in New York City, she turned to freelance writing and editing for design firms, nonprofit associations, and travel-oriented sites.
