Shana Ting Lipton is a former writer with TripSavvy. She is a writer, editor, and cultural strategist who grew up in Los Angeles. Her LA-related articles have been published in regional, national and international publications for more than 15 years.
Shana has written extensively about art, culture, performers, and trends for the Los Angeles Times newspaper and magazine. As editor of a weekly events segment and web column for the LA Times online and KTLA Thursday evening news, she covered restaurants, art exhibits, concerts, and film.
Shana was also the editor of The Blackbook Guide to Los Angeles and its online counterpart. She has written, edited, and reported for many publications, including Vanity Fair, Variety, People, and Reader's Digest.
More recently, Shana used her time in London to obtain a law degree, which expanded her writing to legal and financial publications. She also served as the founding editor-in-chief for a digital newspaper's travel and business section, which is featured on BBC and in The Independent. Additionally, she works with CNN on branded digital content for international companies in the business, tech, travel, and culture sectors.
Shana has a Bachelor of Arts from Barnard College as well as a Master of Arts with Honours in European Studies from the University of Amsterdam. While living in Europe, she also attained a Graduate Diploma in Law from the University of Westminster and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from BPP Law School.
