What Should You Expect From Shake Shack at New York-New York Las Vegas:
We are talking burgers here so expectations are all over the map in terms of what you think you need and what you will get. Typically, the Las Vegas burgers that get talked about seem to be the over the top burgers that become meals of legend.
Over the top and expensive yet colorful and culinary displays of kitchen …blah, blah blah. This is a burger, plain and simple. Shake Shack is delivering your basic fast food burger in such a quality package that you’ll forgive yourself for going so cheap and so convenient even when you are on vacation. It’s not a fancy burger, it’s just a good burger for a very affordable price.
How’s The Food at Shake Shack Las Vegas?
Did I already mention that the burger is good? Let’s get to the other stuff. Yes they have shakes and yes they are good. As long as you keep in mind that this is still fast food you should be pleased with the product that comes out when your number is called. Oh, yeah, there might be a wait as plenty of people want in on dogs, burgers and crinkle cut fries.
What You Should Try at Shake Shack Las Vegas:
- Shack Burger is a simple Angus beef burger that was just ground in the kitchen. The bread is just fluffy enough to sooth your texture issues but not so soft that that it loses its way. One slice of cheese and lettuce and tomato round out a good $5 burger. You could go double but I don’t think that the extra $2 is worth it. Skip the cheese and the burger is $1 less. Yes, you can also get a mushroom burger or bacon added to it.
- The Hot Dog. They split it, they grill it. It should not pack so much flavor but it is divine in its simplicity. You could go bigger with the Shack-cago dog but that is a production of cucumbers, relish, tomato and enough stuff on top that you are forced to pull out a knife and fork. Who does that to a hot dog?
- Crinkle cut fries are a must as they have that crunchy exterior and soft inside. If you grew up in Southern California you are thinking Pup ‘N Taco has made a comeback.
- The shake n Shake shack is the real deal as they whip up their creamy custard daily and your choice of chocolate, vanilla or their ever changing flavor of the week. Smooth and silky as it goes down your throat you’ll notice the lack of corn syrup right away as this almost tastes like a healthy choice to escort your burger.
