Las Vegas 51s Baseball
The Las Vegas 51s bring professional Triple-A baseball to town every summer.
This New York Mets affiliate, part of the Pacific Coast League, plays at Cashman Field from April through September.
The team's name comes from Area 51, the informal name of a classified military facility near Edwards Air Force Base near Las Vegas. Area 51 has long been rumored to be the site of some extraterrestrial activity in the 1950s, hence the team's gray-headed alien mascot Cosmo.

First Fridays Arts Festival
Every month on the first Friday this legendary arts and entertainment festival dominates Fremont Street and the surrounding Downtown area. Local artists and food vendors spread out across Downtown Las Vegas on the first Friday of every month all year long. Check out the First Friday website for more info.
Country Fresh Farmers Market
This Henderson farmers market staple now has two locations. The Thursday market runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is located at.
240 Water Street in downtown Henderson in the Events Plaza. The Friday market runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is located at the at the Henderson Pavilion, 200 S. Green Valley Parkway. Head down, grab some fresh produce, a homemade jam or a spicy hot sauce.
Summer Concert Series on Fremont Street
Even though its name suggests summer only, this concert series has two big dates in September as well.
Held at Main Street Station Casino, the series in 2017 will feature Collective Soul on September 1 and Chevelle on September 30.
Fresh 52 Farmers and Artisans Market
Bringing fresh produce, bread and art to Las Vegas neighborhoods nearly every Saturday and Sunday all year round, this farmers market is a must-visit for anyone interested in Vegas' local culture. Las Vegas Greek Food Festival
Get your Greek on with this annual yum fest featuring Greek food and entertainment. Held at St John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church, the menu features all the traditional Greek dishes like souvlaki but also is a marketplace for other Greek cultural wares.
There's traditional Greek dancing, and clothing, jewelry and other traditional items for sale. In 2017, the festival marks its 45th anniversary and will be held September 15 through September 17.
Shriners Hospitals for Children Open
One of Las Vegas' most high-profile charity events, this golf tournament raises funds for the Shriners Hospitals. The 2017 tournament will be held at TPC Summerlin from October 30 to November 5.
