The North Carolina Apple Festival, which is held annually on Labor Day Weekend, recognizes the apple and the apple industry in Henderson County and North Carolina. Events include entertainment, a Labor Day parade, street dance, vendors and more.
- South Carolina Apple Festival
Westminster, South Carolina
September 5 - 6, 2014
Beginning the week after Labor Day and peaking on the following weekend, the South Carolina Apple Festival celebrates the beginning of apple harvest season in Oconee County, the largest apple-producing area in the state. The annual festival has drawn thousands of visitors to the Westminster area since its beginning in 1961. Festival activities include a parade, arts and crafts vendors, food vendors, kiddie rides, an apple pie baking contest, entertainment, a popular two-day rodeo and much more.

Visit the birthplace of the Golden Delicious Apple, West Virginia's Official State Fruit. Events kick off on Thursday evening and continue throughout the weekend. Highlights include vendors, amusement rides, lots of entertainment and contests, antique car and motorcycle shows, a parade, baking contest, 5K run, quilt show and more.
