The 450-passenger Seabourn Odyssey is larger than many other "small" luxury cruise ships, but the company has managed to continue the exceptional service, delicious cuisine, and casual onboard atmosphere that past Seabourn cruisers loved and expected on the company's smaller vessels.
In addition to the ambiance, service, and cuisine, the Seabourn Odyssey has elegant decor.
I sailed a 7-day Adriatic cruise itinerary from Venice to Athens on the Seabourn Odyssey and loved everything about the ship. Join me on a tour of the suites, dining venues, and public areas of the Seabourn Odyssey.

Seabourn Odyssey - Suites and AccommodationsAll of the 225 Seabourn Odyssey accommodations are suites, ranging in size from 295 to 1,682 square feet. Ninety percent of the suites have private balconies. All of the suites' baths have twin sinks with granite counter tops and a separate bathtub and shower enclosure. The walk-in closets found in every suite have wonderful storage space and easy open drawers.
We stayed in one of the large Owner's Suites, and it is one of the nicest suites afloat. The Owner's Suite had a huge veranda with padded chaise lounges, two TVs, two toilets, a full-sized sofa, and its own espresso maker.
Even the "standard" veranda suite is a spacious 365 square feet. A black-out curtain separates the sleeping and sitting areas of the veranda suites.

Seabourn Odyssey - Dining and CuisineThe Seabourn Odyssey has five excellent dining options:
- The Restaurant is a traditional grand dining room, complete with fine china, crystal, and silver. It features open seating three times daily.
- Restaurant 2 is a contemporary tasting restaurant tucked away on deck 8. It is open for dinner and serves numerous small, fascinating plates from a fixed menu that changes daily.
- Colonnade has an open kitchen with either buffet or menu options for breakfast and lunch, but has elegant a la carte theme dinners.
- Patio Grill offers casual, pool side dining in the day and evening.
- In-suite dining (room service) - The Seabourn Odyssey offers an extensive 24/7 room service menu. During dinner hours, guests can have dinner served course by course.

Seabourn Odyssey - Interior Public Areas
The interiors of the Seabourn Odyssey are elegant and tasteful, much like you would want in your own home. I loved the bars and lounges, starting with the great views from the Observation Bar forward on deck 10 and going all the way down to The Club, aft on deck 5.
The Seabourn Square is probably the most innovative indoor public area. It serves as the Odyssey's living room, library, coffee bar, and information desk.
The Spa at Seabourn spans two decks and includes a salon for beauty and grooming needs, a gym, and seven spa treatment rooms for improving your mood and body.
The entertainment on the Seabourn Odyssey was excellent for a small ship. We really enjoyed the four talented Seabourn Singers, the musicians, and the guest lecturers.

Seabourn Odyssey - Exterior Public Areas
The Seabourn Odyssey has numerous outdoor areas for passengers to enjoy the sea air and sun. The most exciting and unique outdoor public area on the Seabourn Odyssey is the Marina. On one day each cruise, the captain opens up the back hatch, the crew float out a dock and pull out all the water toys--skis, kayaks, sailboats, banana boats, and tubes. It's great fun to participate or just watch.
The Seabourn Odyssey also has a swimming pool and hot tubs with plenty of lounge chairs in the sun or shade on deck 8, and additional sunning areas at The Retreat on deck 11 and by The Club on deck 5. The Club outdoor area includes its own small pool and hot tubs.Continue to 5 of 5 below.

Seabourn Odyssey - Summary
The Seabourn Odyssey is a marvelous luxury cruise ship, and its service, amenities, and cuisine will match or even exceed what past Seabourn cruisers have grown to love and expect from the company. Many of the activities and entertainment were designed to appeal to a younger audience, but adult cruisers of any age looking for an all-inclusive cruise will enjoy this ship.
The best news is that the Yachts of Seabourn has two more identical ships -- the Seabourn Sojourn and Seabourn Quest.
