Looking for a summer camp for your child? These summer programs are science and/or technology oriented. They'll experiment and enhance their computing, programming, app design and other technical skills this summer. How can that be bad?! They are listed here in alphabetical order. Quotations were obtained from the camp's website.
Arizona Challenger Space Center
Adventures in Space Camps. Summer campers will use fun, hands-on learning to make their own discoveries and will explore how their findings affect our daily lives Grades K-8.
At the University of Arizona in Tucson. "Campers become astronomers, operating research telescopes, keeping nighttime hours, interacting with leading scientists, and interpreting their own observations."
ASU Summer Camps in Math, Engineering, Sciences, Technology
From 7th grade through high school, you'll find summer camps about robotics, video game design, app design, computing, robotics and technology boot camp.
Camp Innovation at Arizona Science Center
From learning about natural forces, investigating a crime scene, exploring the messy side of science to discovering the world of insects and meteorology, campers will develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills while being engaged in science. More than ten different camps for ages 3-14.
CodaKid is a computer science and game design academy focused exclusively on courses for children from the age of 6 -14. Students enjoy small group courses with experienced coders, technologists and designers.

Two summer camps. The Summer STEAM camp for ages 6 to 12 incorporates cience, technology, engineering, art and math (STEAM) concepts. Activities feature lessons on how an idea for an invention turns into a reality through creative thinking, engineering, design and problem solving. Campers also will make art and develop an invention of their own by exploring materials and techniques. The second camp explores robotics. Campers will use robotics and engineering principles, learn about teamwork and develop problem-solving skills as they compete in a robotics challenge.
Geared toward 9 to 14 year olds.
