And since 1990, the World of Coca-Cola, a museum filled with the appeal and nostalgia of Coke, has been one of those must-visit destinations. Though the original opened in Underground Atlanta, the museum moved to its current location, Pemberton Place across from Centennial Olympic Park, in 2007.
Today, it still serves as a representation of the brand’s storied past, taking visitors back in time to remember some of the history’s most legendary moments through the life of Coca-Cola (think: the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta). End your visit in the product tasting room, where you’ll sample more than 100 international Coke products and taste what’s made the brand so timeless. But just how much does that nostalgia cost? In comparison to other Atlanta attractions, the World of Coca-Cola is one of the most reasonably priced outings in the city.
Even still, who doesn’t love a good bargain?
We’ve created a list of the nine best wallet-friendly tips for you to save as much as possible while enjoying your trip to the World of Coca-Cola.
If you know you’ll visit the World of Coca-Cola often, consider buying an annual pass, which is $34 for adults, $30 for seniors ($65+) and $26 for youth (3-12). For the cost of about two visits, you’ll receive unlimited entry for one year, in addition to special pass-holder offers, including money off general admission tickets for up to guests each time you visit, money off in the Coca-Cola store and a discount at Pemberton Café located just outside the museum.
For people interested in visiting more of Atlanta’s best attractions, purchase a CityPass to receive the best overall savings. At just $76 for adults and $62 for children, you’ll be able to visit five attractions—the World of Coca-Coal, the Georgia Aquarium, Inside CNN Studio Tour, Zoo Atlanta or the National Center for Civil and Human Righs and the College Football Hall of Fame.
3. Bring Your Military ID
Members of the Armed Forces receive complimentary admission to the World of Coca-Cola. Just remember to bring your military ID when purchasing your tickets at the museum’s ticketing counter, as this offer cannot be redeemed when purchasing tickets online.
4. Look for Special Packages
The World of Coca-Cola occasionally offers special packages that can save you money. In the past, the museum teamed up with the Atlanta Braves, Georgia Aquarium, Six Flags Over Georgia, Stone Mountain Park and White Water to offer the MVP (Most Valuable Package), which offered discounts on admission.
5. Enroll in My Coke Rewards
If you’re visiting the World of Coca-Cola, there’s a high chance you drink the soda on the regular. When you purchase various Coke products, like Sprite, Dasani, Powerade and classic Coca-Cola, you can earn reward points that can be redeemed for a general admission ticket to the World of Coca-Cola. Enroll here to start collecting points.
6. Eat Before You Go
Food and drink are not allowed inside the museum, so consider eating at home before you visit, or better yet, bring a picnic lunch to enjoy in Centennial Olympic Park before you head inside the World of Coca-Cola. There are also budget-friendly chain restaurants, like Chick-fil-A and Subway, close by.
7. Go With a Group
Gather up the whole gang and make a group reservation for 25 or more to receive special group pricing, which is $16/adult, $14/senior and $12/youth. Tickets must be purchased in one transaction via a group reservation for the rate to apply.
Because parking fees at many Marta stations are free or cheaper than nearby parking, consider riding MARTA to the museum. The two closest stations are CNN/GA World Congress Center and Peachtree Center, both of which are a 10- to 15-minute walk from the museum.
9. Stay Informed
Sign up for the World of Coca-Cola’s newsletter to receive updates on special offers and the happenings at the museum. Likewise, you can follow the Facebook and Twitter pages for more regular updates.
