Tea is touted as the second most consumed drink in the world, behind water, and fortunately for residents and visitors of Sacramento who love this healthy drink, there are a number of great tea houses in and around the city.
A tea house or tearoom is an establishment that primarily serves tea, but may also offer light refreshments, and although Sacramento isn't known to produce any teas of its own, there's certainly a culture around the favorite drink.
Whether you're out for a quiet afternoon shopping or plan to work the whole day out of one of these fine establishments, the following five tea rooms will satisfy your thirst while offering a unique variety of snacks and experiences, from afternoon tea to public readings and poetry slams.
