Welcome to Pittsburgh and to the all-new pittsburgh.about.com! Your tour guide is Rossilynne Culgan.
Pittsburgh is a city of neighborhoods (dozens of them within the city limits alone), each with its own character and identity. It’s also a city of bridges, a city of innovators, a city full of stellar chefs, and the only city with an entrance (Fort Pitt tunnel/bridge inbound).
For Rossilynne, writing has been her passion since she could hold a pencil and paper.
She works as marketing communications manager for Carnegie Science Center. Before her marketing career, Rossilynne worked as a news reporter at the Tribune-Review newspaper and the Valley News Dispatch newspaper, both located in suburban Pittsburgh.
At Penn State University, Rossilynne spent her days in the newsroom of student newspaper The Daily Collegian, writing and editing articles and eventually managing the newspaper as editor-in-chief.
Rossilynne’s writing has appeared in Thrillist, Tribune-Review, Valley News Dispatch, WPSU-FM, and in newspapers across the country through the Associated Press.
A graduate of Penn State University, Rossilynne earned degrees in journalism and in women’s studies.
Welcome to my favorite city, my hometown of Pittsburgh. I can’t wait to show you around!
