    If you and your partner love snow sports, there are lots of options for snow-sport-themed romantic getaways from Vancouver. The Whistler Blackcomb Ski Resort in Whistler, BC, is a top-pick: it's just a three hour drive from downtown Vancouver and has options for luxury suites or romantic cabins, plus plenty of high-end dining.

    A more budget-friendly option is to stay at an inexpensive hotel in West Vancouver or North Vancouver near Cypress Mountain or Mount Seymour (both less than an hour away from downtown Vancouver), or to stay at a Vancouver hotel (see below) and just head to Grouse Mountain for the day.
