The Rock ‘n’ Roll DC Marathon is a 26.2 mile race begins at RFK Stadium and provides runners and spectators with views of more than monuments and the National Mall. The half marathon is 13.1 miles and allows a wider range of runners to participate. The course highlights the best of Washington, DC’s neighborhoods, featuring six of the city’s eight wards, including portions run through the heart of Adams Morgan, dynamic Kalorama, and beautiful Poplar Point.
There is also a 5K race at RFK Stadium.
The Washington DC event is part of a tour stop in the international series of entertainment themed marathons and half-marathons. The series, which started in San Diego in 1998, has become a fundraising powerhouse for charity endurance-training programs, such as the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, American Cancer Society® and Susan G.
