There is a spot along the rail at Rivea Las Vegas atop The Delano Hotel that gives you a clear view of the entire Las Vegas strip. In that spot, coupled with the perfect cocktail, some great food and real good company you get the feeling that Las Vegas is really all that it is hyped up to be.

The lights of Las Vegas are iconic. They set the tone for vacations, for getaways, for bad behavior and for some very long lasting memories. With that said, that is a big reason why a restaurant with a view is almost guaranteed to make you happy.

A restaurant from Alain Ducasse, with a fresh new design and a vibrant menu that accents fresh ingredients with a splash of the French Riviera and some laid back California style combine to create a new focal point for Las Vegas dining. Dinner in Las Vegas becomes more than just a meal it is an experience. A drink at Skyfall, the lounge that adjoins the dining room, sets you up for a memorable meal and then helps you finish off your evening with an after dinner cocktail.

What should you come to expect from Rivea at Delano Las Vegas:

The dining room is wide open and the high ceiling gives the space room to breathe. By that I mean that even though this is fine dining it feels relaxed and extremely comfortable. IF you sit out on the patio the view dominates the space and your eyes are drawn to the lights of Las Vegas. While the views are impressive, the sight lines from nearby Skyfall Lounge are much better and worthy of an after dinner drink.

How’s The Food at Rivea Las Vegas?

From the charcuterie to the small plate shareable pasta dishes through to the main courses you’ll get a sense for the freshness of the  Riviera. The flavors would be at home ocean side or on the deck of your yacht. Truthfully, you’ll wish you were wearing comfortable linen and fashionable sunglasses while dining at Rivea. It’s a meal that makes you feel like you are on vacation from your Las Vegas vacation.

What you should try at Rivea Las Vegas:

  • Prawn and Calamari Crostini: Crunchy yet delicate salty and savory with the flavors of the ocean mixed in with a little bit of the comfort that makes you beg for more. You could easily pack away a few of these while sitting in front of the television or with a view of the incoming yachts at your beach house.
  • Seasonal Mushroom Risotto: much like many of the dishes at Rivea this is savory and creamy and satisfying in the way that you regret ordering this as a shareable option. You want to eat more than your share. With risotto it is a simple dish that when done right is addictive but can easily be thwarted by a lack of patience. This rendition speckled with mushrooms is a labor of love that brings out earthy flavors and savory satisfaction in the ultimate comfort food classic.
  • Roasted Duck Breast in a bigarade is a dance between the savory fatty forward flavors of the duck and the slightly bitter notes of citrus. It drops in a little sweet and then a little sour all escorted by the roasted duck breast.
